John Rahman, Certified Orthotist, has been transforming lives in Calgary for nearly 20 years with custom-made orthotics, splints, and braces. His expertise has alleviated pain and enhanced performance for hundreds, from everyday individuals to Olympic-level athletes. Graduating from George Brown College's Orthotics & Prosthetics program in 1981, John has dedicated his career to improving mobility and function through his clinic and various collaborations.
John's passion and skill recently played a pivotal role in the success of the Canadian para ice hockey team. Celebrating their victory against the U.S. at the World Championships in South Korea, John felt immense pride, akin to a proud parent. He had the honor of fitting 17 out of 19 athletes with customized seats, showcasing his innovative use of Intuition Foam, a material he frequently employs for amputation prevention in diabetes patients.
John's contributions extend beyond sports. He creates braces, splints, mobility aids, and biomechanical devices for individuals recovering from strokes, paralysis, injuries, and other functional impairments. His work with the Canadian Paralympic high-performance coaching staff underscores his commitment to excellence and his impact on the lives of many.
